Then I continue flipping, to 2005...
Started the year with CAs...
But January 21st was the fateful deciding day.
Now, 18 months later, who would have imagined?
Back then, we drove along the airport runway with Des in the car... just talking...
But now, ok I haven't met Des in a long time! and the rest will never happen again...
Back then, people just started turning 21, loads of parties we attended together...
But now, ok we are old people now, almost 22!
Back then, we started donning white coats and hanging stethoscopes around our necks, gleaming with pride and glory...
But now, I'm beginning to find that stethoscope kindof heavy...
Back then, we played volleyball in the sentosa beach...
But now, I don't even know if it is appropriate to go anymore...
Back then, I surprised him on his 21st birthday, all that meticulous planning executed so perfectly...
But 1 year on, took me lots of effort to squeeze out the words "happy birthday" in a decent tone
Back then, we felt so lost in the NUH ward 43, our 1st real posting...
Now, surgery elective completed, but I still feel lacking in information to even pass my MBBS....
Back then, we gobbled one whole tub of Sara Lee Rocky Road ice cream at the suntec sky garden...
Now, seeing that ice cream makes me want to puke
Back then, I complained about social obligations...
Now, I regret, but too late.
And then, 2005 ended, still well, with my Hokkaido trip, Christmas party and of cos, the 21st birthday bash...
And I remember Olly the Hextopus...
